GOING ROGUE: An American Book Club Week #1

Two months ago Gov. Sarah Palin’s memoir “GOING ROGUE: An American Life” hit the book shelves at book stores and packages of pre-orders were shipped. Before that her #1 Best Selling memoir broke and shattered pre-order sales records. Gov. Sarah Palin’s appearance on “OPRAH” before her book was released gave Oprah Winfrey bigger ratings than the person Ms. Winfrey endorsed and publicly advocated in the 2008 Presidential elections. Gov. Sarah Palin’s appreances on Fox News (Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Bill O’Reilly) as well as ABC News via Barbara Walters garnered exceptionally higher ratings than normal. Hundreds and even thousands lined up for hours and some camping out in harsh weather just for a few moments with her during her book tour. It was through “GOING ROGUE: An American Life” that she could tell her story without the “lame stream media” or the “left over blogosphere” filter and bias. Gov. Sarah Palin’s “GOING ROGUE: An American Life” contributed to a rise in her approval ratings.

After two months since Gov. Palin’s blockbuster book “GOING ROGUE: An American Life” came out Pro-Sarah.com and Pro-Sarah Radio founder yours truly, April-Liesel Binapri (That’s Me) thought it would be a good time to start a book club. I plan on gathering some of the most active Pro-Sarah Palin activists as well as Pro-Sarah Palin supporters I can find to talk about the book in depth. Chapter by chapter and in some cases section by section a distinguished panel of three to six will share their opinions and views in a lively discussion on Sundays. Pro-Sarah Radio’s show “SUNDAY NIGHT CONVERSATION” will from January 17, 2010 to May, 2, 2010 become “GOING ROGUE: An American Book Club.” The broadcast will air live between 3pm to 5pm if you’re in Hawaii, 5pm to 7pm if you’re in Alaska, 6pm to 8pm if you’re in the Pacific, 7pm to 9pm if you’re in the Mountain, 8pm to 10pm if you’re in the Central, and 9pm to 11pm if you’re in the Eastern time zones at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Pro-Sarah. If you’re unable to listen to the live broadcast you will be able to listen to it at any time afterward at the same location.

The book club schedule is as follows and is subject to change:

Jan 17: Week # 1 = An Introduction to “GOING ROGUE: An American Life” by Gov. Sarah Palin = Our panel will give their views of the book as well as their experiences at a “GOING ROGUE” book signing. April-Liesel will introduce the book club’s mechanics.
Jan 24: Week # 2 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 1
Jan 31: Week # 3 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 2
Feb 7: Week # 4 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 3 Sections 1-6
Feb 14: OFF FOR VALENTINES
Feb 21: Week # 5 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 3 Sections 7-13
Feb 28: Week # 6 = Our panel discuss the first 3 Chapters
Mar 7: Week # 7 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 4 Sections 1-4
Mar 14: Week # 8 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 4 Sections 5-8
Mar 21: Week # 9 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 4 Sections 9-13
Mar 28: Week # 10 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 4 Sections 13-17
Apr 4: OFF EASTER
Apr 11: Week # 11 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 5
Apr 18: Week # 12 = Our panel will discuss Chapter 6
Apr 25: Week # 13 = Our panel will discuss Epilogue, A View from Alaska, & Acknowledgements
May 2: Week #14 = Our panel will discuss the entire book.
